Jordan S. Rinker, M.D., M.P.H.

Jordan S. Rinker, M.D., M.P.H. is a consulting physician in occupational and environmental medicine as well as toxicology for Fischman Occupational & Environmental Medical Group, and for several healthcare-related industries including local hospitals and clinics to international biopharmaceutical companies. He is a former Associate Residency Director of the University of California San Francisco’s residency program in Occupational & Environmental Medicine and a current member of the program’s Residency Advisory Committee and the Center for Occupational & Environmental Health’s Continuing Medical Education Committee at UC Berkeley.
He received his B.A. degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley in 1981 and his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1986. As part of his residency training in Occupational Medicine at UC San Francisco he received his M.P.H. degree in Environmental Health Sciences in 1992 from UC Berkeley. He was also trained and board-certified in Internal Medicine after his residency at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose in 1990. Currently he is board-certified in Occupational Medicine (Diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine) after completing his residency at UC San Francisco in 1993.

Dr. Rinker has participated on several National Laboratory audits of Occupational Medicine services at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Stanford Linear Accelerator, and Los Alamos. He also worked with the California Industrial Medical Council (IMC) in developing drafts of practice guidelines for WC injuries including low back problems.
